March 2026 - When Time Moves Forward

Hey Church Girl,

Yesterday, March 8, carried two reminders that felt worth paying attention to. Around the world, it was International Women’s Day, a moment when women pause to reflect on their strength, their contributions, and the quiet resilience that carries them through life. At the same time, our clocks moved forward. Time literally “sprang” ahead.

Something about those two moments happening on the same day felt meaningful.

Time moved forward whether we were ready or not. The sun rose earlier, the evening light stretched a little longer, and the rhythm of the day shifted. No one had to push the clock forward. It simply happened.

Life with God often moves the same way.

There are seasons when we feel stuck in the same emotional place. We keep praying, keep hoping, and keep wondering if anything is actually changing. Yet while we are busy questioning the process, God is often already moving time forward in ways we do not immediately recognize.

Ecclesiastes reminds us that “to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.” Seasons change even when we do not see the shift right away. Winter slowly loosens its grip. Light stretches across the evening sky. What once felt frozen begins to soften.

Many women who quietly read these letters are strong in ways few people notice. They are the ones who hold families together, serve faithfully in their churches, support friends who are struggling, and keep showing up even when their own hearts feel tired. Strength becomes part of their identity, yet that strength can also become a heavy responsibility.

International Women’s Day often celebrates the visible accomplishments of women, but there is another kind of strength that rarely receives recognition. It is the strength of the woman who continues believing God while her life is still unfolding. It is the strength of the woman who chooses healing instead of bitterness. It is the strength of the woman who learns to set boundaries after years of carrying too much.

Church Girl, the message I felt impressed to share this month is simple. Just as the clock moved forward yesterday, God can move your life forward in ways you may not yet see.

Psalm 147:3 tells us that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Healing is rarely loud or dramatic. Often it happens quietly, over time, through moments that seem small at first. A new sense of peace where anxiety once lived. A clearer understanding of your worth. The courage to stop repeating patterns that once drained your spirit.

Time moving forward is a reminder that life is not meant to remain frozen in one place forever. The same God who sustained you in difficult seasons is also capable of guiding you into new ones.

As you move through March, consider one quiet question: Where might God already be moving something forward in your life, even if the change feels small right now? Sometimes we expect transformation to arrive dramatically, but many of the most meaningful shifts begin quietly, almost unnoticed at first.

The clocks moved forward this week, and the days are slowly growing longer. In the same way, God often moves our lives forward through steady moments of growth, clarity, and healing that unfold over time.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Where in your life do you sense a new season beginning, even if it is still unfolding slowly?

With you in the work of healing,
