Meet Dr. Brenda Mouzon
For more than three decades, I have walked the path of faith as a Christian woman, pastor’s wife, educator, author, and spiritual guide. I understand what it means to love God deeply while quietly carrying responsibilities, expectations, and emotional weight that few people see.
Like many women in church, I learned early how to appear strong. I served faithfully, encouraged others, and fulfilled my responsibilities, but like so many Christian women, I also experienced seasons where my own heart needed healing.
Church Girl, Heal was born from that understanding.
This work is not about criticizing the church. It is about helping women bring hidden struggles into the light so healing, spiritual maturity, and emotional wholeness can begin.
You do not have to bleed in silence anymore.
MY STORY
My Journey of Faith
I was raised in the Catholic church and encountered Jesus personally at the age of eighteen. That moment transformed the direction of my life and began a journey of faith that has now spanned more than thirty years.
Over the years, I have served as a pastor’s wife, educator, mentor, and leader among women in faith communities. I have watched countless women show up faithfully for church, family, and ministry while quietly carrying exhaustion, emotional wounds, marital struggles, and questions they felt they could not safely voice.
Many women were taught that faith meant enduring everything silently.
But silence is not healing.
God never asked women to pretend their pain did not exist. Scripture shows us that healing often begins when truth is finally spoken.
Through my work, I help women learn how to walk with God while also tending to their emotional health, personal boundaries, and spiritual growth.
WHY CHURCH GIRL HEAL EXISTS
Church Girl, Heal was created for the woman who loves God, loves her church, and still feels something inside her needs attention and care.
It is for the woman who is faithful but tired.
For the woman who serves everyone else but has quietly neglected her own healing.
For the woman who has been strong for so long that she no longer knows how to be honest about what she is carrying.
Church Girl, Heal creates space for women to examine the expectations they have been living under and ask one simple but powerful question:
If God didn’t say that, why are we still doing it?
Through teaching, writing, coaching, and community conversations, women are encouraged to release burdens God never required and step into a healthier, more mature faith.
What I Do
Through Church Girl, Heal, I help Christian women develop emotional awareness, spiritual maturity, and practical wisdom for living whole lives. Many women have spent years serving faithfully while quietly carrying exhaustion, emotional wounds, and stories they have never had space to process.
Healing often begins when truth is finally spoken.
Through teaching, writing, coaching, and community conversations, women begin to name what they have been carrying silently and develop healthier patterns for faith, relationships, and personal growth.
This work happens through several pathways:
• Teaching and writing that address the real struggles Christian women face
• Guided conversations that help women name and process what they have been carrying silently
• Spiritual and emotional coaching that supports healing, clarity, and healthy boundaries
• Writing mentorship that helps women develop and publish their personal stories and testimonies
Women who feel called to share their stories may apply to work with me through editing, formatting, or ghostwriting support. I also lead group coaching experiences for women who are ready to write their books and share the stories God has placed in their hearts.
Beginning in 2027, Church Girl, Heal will also host healing retreats, creating sacred space for women to step away from daily responsibilities, reflect on their journeys, and pursue deeper restoration.
I am also available to speak at women's retreats, conferences, and events, where I share messages that encourage women to pursue emotional honesty, spiritual maturity, and healing within their faith journeys.
My work is not about telling women what to believe. It is about helping women develop the courage to pursue truth, healing, and spiritual growth without shame.
